ABOUT THE BOOK
It’s hard for anyone to start at a new school in the middle of the year. Even more so for 16-year-old Lexi James because this is her first day at high school. Ever! And Lexi is not just any newbie. She is a famous television star. For years she has played the role of Starr Bright, an alien teenager stranded on earth, in a TV show. But for a reason she keeps secret she has given up acting. She wants nothing more than to be a ‘normal’ teen and to fit in with the others.
But that’s not easy. Before long, she’s faced with school bullies and an online stalker. And, apart from having to get used to lessons and homework, her mom’s depressed and her aunt is super bossy.
Lexi feels more like an alien than she ever did in the show. At least she has made friends with Tam Sibanda. But can she rely on him?
And who is Lexi James? School girl or celebrity? Will she learn to trust herself and find out who she really is?
